Klaveness Footwear is a multinational orthopedic shoe manufacturing company that established a production unit in Portugal in 1988 and has, since then, invested heavily in the development and commercialization of these products. With close cooperation between orthopedic and research centers, Klaveness has developed over the years a solid path in this activity.
As a company focused on the technological development of its units, the management area also evolved as it grew. In partnership with Arquiconsult over the years, it has implemented several management solutions, namely the ERP Microsoft Dynamics AX, when it was necessary to seek a global solution for the group's companies, which would respond to the to the group's internationalization needs.
The collaboration with Arquiconsult has been maintained and extends to the Business Intelligence project, which arises due to some internal flaws at Reporting level. The project started in 2016, having developed over time, adding new areas and information, as a result of the recent technological transformation, through the ERP upgrade.
“At Klaveness, the main gaps in management were the Management reports, where we had the data in ERP and in Excel files scattered all over the place and we wanted to gather all the information in one place. We opted for Arquiconsult's service due to being our main partner in the ERP area and the degree of satisfaction in its services until then provided”, says Nuno Moreira - IT & Logistics Manager.
The BI solution has a direct impact on sales and production management,
“being the main indicators obtained sales by different sales channels, sales by countries and efficiency in production by product range” indicates Nuno Moreira.
Klaveness has presented several opportunities to, together, adapt and improve the available solution, with new needs and business requirements that over time aim to improve processes.
As Nuno Moreira also points out "As for the support given to Klaveness, it is quite satisfied, since so far the challenges that have arisen have had a quick response from Arquiconsult's BI team. The cooperation between Arquiconsult and Klaveness has been very positive, both in terms of the roll-out of new projects as in terms of support. In Klaveness' understanding, the partnership will be to continue in the future, in BI and ERP we have new projects in which we consider Arquiconsult to be the main partner.”
